SHRM Conference Attendees Help in the Fight Against Cancer
GAITHERSBURG, Md., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ --
Alexus International, the leading provider of e-recruiting and workforce management solutions, today presented a charitable donation to the American Cancer Society. The donation is a result of Alexus' Big Bag Exchange at the 52nd annual Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Conference. Alexus promised to donate one dollar to the American Cancer Society on behalf of each attendee who traded in a bag for a bright yellow Alexus bag. Alexus collected approximately one thousand bags and will double that amount, in terms of dollars, with its $2000 donation to the American Cancer Society.

Cancer has touched the lives of many colleagues and their families at Alexus and we are happy to contribute to the American Cancer Society to help in the fight against cancer," states Nick Santoro, CFO of Alexus. The promotion was extremely successful and very well received among SHRM attendees. Many began to donate three or four bags at a time when they learned it benefited the American Cancer Society. One SHRM attendee even donated a one-dollar bill because he wanted to make a donation but did not have a bag to exchange.
